Haiyan Li
Dr. Haiyan Li joined RMIT in January 2021 as a Vice-Chancellor’s Senior Research Fellow. Her career began when she received a PhD degree in 2005 from Chinese Academy of Sciences. She has had a varied research career working in both industry (Unilever (China) Investment Co. Ltd) and academia (Monash University, INSERM (France), and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China)) over the past 18 years. Dr. Li is a well-established international researcher in the Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering field, and she recently made major progress on modulating small extracellular vesicles and was granted a patent. She participated the formulation and publication of two Chinese Standards of requirements for small extracellular vesicles derived from human mesenchymal stem cells and human pluripotent stem cells.
